Arapuru Cafuné is based on a London Dry Gin made with the same high-quality artisanal process as our first gin. Formulated with high quality natural ingredients and natural jaboticaba aroma, an unprecedented combination on the market. Arapuru Cafuné is a product with an authentic and light flavor that can be enjoyed alone, with tonic water or used as a base for cocktails.
Arapuru Celebrates the Brazilian essence, and with it, the unique emotional memories of the people of Brazil. This is how Arapuru Cafuné was born, a co-creation with designers Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim da Piet, made with gin and jabuticaba. For them, the taste of the fruit brings back good memories of grandma’s backyard.
To find inspiration for expanding our product line, we teamed up with master researcher in anthropology Mayra Fonseca, who dedicates most of her research and projects to Brazilian culture. Together we delve into the multiplicity of our language, the one that inhabits our daily lives, and in it we find terms and expressions that are untranslatable and so particular to our country. Words that evoke memories and stories, and which now also inspire us in the creation of new products. It was in celebration of these unique affective memories of the people of Brazil that our second product Arapuru Cafuné was born, a co-creation with designers Pedro Andrade and Paula Kim da Piet, made with gin and jabuticaba. For them, the taste of the fruit brings back good memories of grandma’s backyard. Arapuru Cafuné is an invitation to connections like this, which celebrate feelings of welcome and affection, awakening affective memories.
We chose to invite Pedro and Paula to this first collab, because we share different values and perspectives on the world. Just like us, they, as fashion designers, care about sustainability, impact and the intention of capturing and awakening sensations through their creations. Their work connects innovation and streetstyle, elegance and simplicity. They translate this vision, so sensitive and at the same time pulsating, into collections with brands such as Nike, Adidas, Asics among others.
