The poet

Inspired by "Patativa do Assaré", one of the main representatives of popular art in the Northeast of the 20th century. With a simple and poetic language, the patative portrayed the hard and suffering life of the people of the northeastern hinterland. The poet had several books published, and translated into several languages and his poems became subjects of studies in the "Sorbonne" (France), in the chair of universal popular literature. The name Patativa came about because of the similarity between its song and that of the bird "Patativa", a northeastern bird that has a wonderful and unique song.Creation is by Bruno Santiago for Arapuru Desafia.
